In addition, the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ also collaborates with European universities as part of the . This allows all ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ staff to participate in YUFE's trainings and activities. The is based on the joint vision of ten young research-intensive universities and two non-academic partners located all across Europe with a shared dedication to the European spirit and the common aim to contribute to a more competitive, innovative and united Europe and the ambition to help address today’s challenges.
As part of the YUFE vision for joint European education, the YUFE partners want to integrate doctoral and postdoctoral training activities with the YUFE values. Specifically for postdoctoral training and support, YUFE aims to develop, promote, implement and pilot the . The YUFE Pilot on Postdoctoral Training and Development (November 2024 – December 2025) has now been successfully completed.
With the development of the YUFE Postdoctoral Training and Developing Scheme, YUFE wanted to provide institutionalised network-broad support, foster new collaboration opportunities, facilitate mobility and provide international YUFE-wide high-quality training and peer networking opportunities, bearing in mind that postdoctoral researchers are a distinct target group that merit specific attention and support in their endeavours, their teaching, their research, in finding balance and personal development.
The experiences and feedback gathered during the pilot are currently being evaluated within the YUFE Alliance. A new programme building on the lessons learned from this pilot is expected to be launched in 2027.
