On 8 May 2025, the University of Antwerp took part in , the leading annual life sciences conference in Belgium, organised by flanders.bio. The event brings together professionals from across the biotech, pharma, medtech, agricultural, and chemical industries, as well as policymakers, investors, and academic institutions.

Programme highlights

We also contributed to two sessions during the conference programme:

  • Innovation Pitches - Ten researchers affiliated with TTO Flanders pitched their innovations. The University of Antwerp was represented by PhD researchers Amber Van Baelen and Mathijs van der Lei.

  • Panel Discussion - A discussion on the role of prevention in ensuring a healthy future featured insights from experts including David Van Laere (¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ spin-off Innocens), Prof. Alex Vorsters, and Prof. Severien Van Keer.
