About this course

This preparation course in mathematics will be organised in Dutch and in English for new students of the Bachelor Social-Economic Sciences. For information about this preparation course in Dutch: check this webpage.

In the English-language version of the preparation course, you will be able to watch online instructional videos, ask questions about the content and do exercises on the secondary school subjects that you need to have mastered by the start of the academic year.

Below you can find the schedule. Prepare for these practice sessions by watching the videos on these topics on the online platform Get Started. You can join the practice sessions on campus or try the exercises at home and just stop by during the session to ask any questions you may have. 

Participation in this course is optional. You can choose to follow the sessions on one or more days. If you want to participate, registration in advance is mandatory. 

These sessions are free and take place at the Stadscampus of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓÆµ (room s.C.205, Prinsstraat 13, 2000 Antwerpen).

Schedule

  • Monday 14 September 2026 (10am-1pm): Exercises on Arithmetic and Trigonometry

  • Thursday 17 September 2026 (10am-1pm): Exercises on solving Polynomial equations, Inequalities and Systems

  • Friday 18 September 2026 (10am-1pm): Exercises on (Linear) Functions and Derivatives

Don't worry about leaving the practice session a little early if you have other activities to attend to (e.g. as part of Welcome Week). You can also try the exercises at home and just stop by during the session to ask any questions you may have.
