The University of Antwerp directly participates in the selection process of certain scholarship programmes (Scholarships with ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ participation). In addition students can also check if they are eligible for external funding opportunities (External scholarships).
Do check with the Belgian embassy in your country whether they have any funding options.
Note that the tuition fee for most of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ's study programmes is reasonable when compared internationally.
Tuition fee reduction
The Faculty of Science at the University of Antwerp grants a limited number of tuition fee reductions to international students with demonstrated academic excellence who register for the first time one of our master programmes listed below. The fee reduction is only applicable to students who would otherwise need to pay the increased rate of tuition fees.
To be eligible for a fee reduction the applicant needs to fulfil at least the following criteria:
- does not yet have a master degree
- has no other scholarship
- has a clear and profound motivation
- and has a high standard of academic performance
Only applicants who are academically admitted, can apply for the tuition fee reduction.
The application deadline is 31 August. The applicant will be informed of the decision within 3 weeks after the application deadline. There will be no further communication on the decision.
