Pancreatic cancer is one of the most challenging cancers to treat. The choice between the available chemotherapy regimens is currently based on the patient’s general condition, rather than on the sensitivity of the tumor itself. My research focuses on using tumor biology to predict which treatment will work best for a given patient. In this way, we aim to move from an empirical treatment selection to a personalized and biologically driven approach.
