Tom Van Caneghem is Associate Professor in the field of Financial Accounting at the University of Antwerp, as well as part-time professor at Antwerp Management School and KU Leuven. Currently his research mainly focuses on NPOs (non-profit organizations) and SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises). Research interests/topics include (but are not restricted to): financial reporting (e.g., earnings management/quality); external auditing (e.g., audit quality; audit pricing); and external certification (e.g., financial transparency labels in the nonprofit sector).
