Major research interests: international security, more in particular (nuclear) arms control, proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, disarmament, missile defense.
- Current research interests: the role of stigmatization in nuclear disarmament; NATO-Russia relationship; the North Korean and Iranian nuclear programmes; insider threat
- Minor research interests: Belgian defense policy; European security and defense policy; US foreign policy.
