Rowan Daneels is a postdoctoral researcher at the Media & ICT in Organizations and Society (MIOS) research group. As a media psychology scholar, he studies the positive and eudaimonic potential of digital games, entertainment media, and emergent communication technologies such as VR and generative AI. Currently, he's focused on the link between GenAI & youth's mental well-being. He’s a board member for DiGRA Belgium, has published in journals like Computers in Human Behavior and Psychology of Popular Media, and is co-editor of The Psychgeist of Pop Culture: Marvel Cinematic Universe.
