Maarten is professor of Urban Design and spokesperson for the Urban Development Research Group at the University of Antwerp's Faculty of Design Sciences. His research focuses on healthy urban design and robust infrastructure projects. He coaches various cities, architectural offices and project developers with the realization of complex urban development projects, infrastructural projects and the organization of international urban design competitions and workshops.
