I specialise in the anthropology of mining. My research focuses on the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, of which I have examined various political, socioeconomic, and cultural aspects over the years. My current project looks at the relationship between green extractivism and domestic politics in the Congo, with particular attention to the situation in the provinces of Haut-Katanga and Lualaba, both situated in the Congolese Copperbelt, where copper and cobalt are being mined.
