Exciting news! Our PhD student won the Best Presentation Award as well as the Best Pitch Prize at the annual Departmental Research Day 2026 of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences! He presented his work on synthetic antioxidants. Congratulations!

Our researchers  have won the KVAB - Royal Flemish Academy of Belgium for Science and the Arts 's Annual Science Communication Prize for their science communication on wastewater monitoring.​

Our postdoc Ardiana attended the ICCE 2025 conference in Belgrade, Serbia, where she had the opportunity to present both an oral presentation and a poster. She was awarded a poster prize for her work titled "Longitudinal exposomics for maternal and foetal health linked to adverse birth outcomes". Congratulations! Check it out here.

Huge congratulations to Natan Van Wichelen for winning the Best Platform Award at Testing the Waters 7 in Lisbon 2024, with his great talk on Special K, Kit Kat, and other “snacks.” He unveiled key insights into the widespread, stable year-round ketamine use in Belgium, highlighting a sharp increase over the past decade. His work underscored the growing importance of monitoring this emerging drug on a (inter)national scale.
