In 2024, the Electrification Institute was established at the University of Antwerp, and is located at BlueApp, the pre-incubator of ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ. It combines the research of ELCAT, ElectrifHy and our group PLASMANT. It pursues various lines of research, developing/implementing young technologies for the future within the concept of ‘power-to-x’, utilising electrochemistry, plasma chemistry and power-to-heat technologies. Our research activities will pave the way towards a more sustainable and electrified industry, enabling Flanders to be one of the leading innovators in this field.
