On the programme
The Class Presentation
Do you remember your first class presentation? Complete with clammy hands, trembling knees and imagining everyone in your class naked? Don’t worry: the presentations by our ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ researchers will stay with you too, but hopefully without the kind of trauma that requires years of therapy. Under the expert guidance of Robin Broos, three ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ researchers will give a on a topic that fascinates, frustrates or inspires them.
The official Watch Party
We will then cross live to Zurich, where the Ig Nobel Prizes will be awarded in Europe for the first time. This alternative to the Nobel Prizes celebrates research that first makes you laugh and then makes you think. Don’t expect a half-time show featuring Shakira, Madonna or Justin Bieber. It’ll be even better: an evening packed with bizarre research and unexpected insights. ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ is hosting an official Watch Party. What makes it so official? The audience in Zurich will wave to us live. Feel free to wave back.
At the end of the evening, there will be one more surprise waiting for you … Exciting! Can you guess what it is? (Disclaimer: that’s a rhetorical question. We haven’t created a form for you to submit your answer.)
