About

The world changes, and changes rapidly. Artificial Intelligence has been invading in every industry of knowledge, pervasively and meticulously; the relationship between humanity and the natural world—encompassing all flora, fauna, and their habitats—has never been as strained as it is today; issues concerning societal development and national identity, driven by global immigration, are now omnipresent and a matter of urgency; meanwhile, conflicts that once seemed distant are unfolding right before our eyes. A changing world demands the evolution of knowledge, which, in turn, necessitates a shift in our research.

As researchers, we need to walk out of the walled boundaries, surpassing tradition through new approaches and new dimensions.

We need to deconstruct conventional narratives, shifting our focus from the societal centre to the peripheral and the marginalized.

We need to challenge technological advancement, relentlessly revealing the ethical limits and boundaries of AI even as it enters its golden era.

We need to transcend our current vision, deploying today’s concepts and engaging with urgent societal questions to reinterpret the past and conceive the future.

In a word, we need to stand where we are, no matter how dim and vague it may be, and look beyond the horizon.

Looking beyond the horizon is easier said than done. We cannot rely solely on ourselves to navigate this complex world. Imaginative ideas may be powerful, but without the scrutiny of diverse perspectives, they can remain fragile and untenable. Conversely, while preliminary ideas might seem weak, with support from different angles, they can become robust and plausible.

Hence, we welcome every idea that is imaginative, independent, innovative, and groundbreaking. We invite reflections that take on the responsibility of addressing the urgent issues of our time, and also notions that need a conversation with other interlocutors – whether they are preliminary or mature.
