During this course you’ll learn to tell the story of your research in correct, concise English. Besides discussing the build-up of a good paper, the course also focuses on typical language pitfalls, academic vocabulary and structures. You'll submit your own texts and receive feedback from a specialised teacher to help you become more aware your own strengths and weaknesses.

- features of academic writing: general features, linguistic features, academic conventions
- structure: typical phrases used in different sections of academic papers, techniques to improve text coherence, linking words (e.g. hence)
- strategies for improving your own texts (e.g. use of synonyms)
Evaluation
There is no test at the end of the course. We can issue a certificate of attendance on request.
