Business and Economics

¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Business School

The ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Business School brings together the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) and in an academically integrated model. Within this structure, both entities combine their complementary strengths while remaining legally distinct and governed through their respective statutory bodies.

As part of the University of Antwerp, the Business School offers a comprehensive and coherent portfolio of programmes. FBE is responsible for subsidised education, research, and services in economics, business economics, and business engineering, while AMS focuses on advanced master’s programmes, executive education, and non-subsidised activities. Together, they create a seamless learning journey, guiding students from their first Bachelor courses through to advanced executive development.

This integrated approach allows the Business School to combine strong academic foundations with close connections to practice. It also ensures consistency in quality across the portfolio, supported by dedicated governance and quality assurance mechanisms.

Since 2023, the ¶¶Òõ¶ÌÊÓƵ Business School—encompassing both FBE and AMS—has been accredited by EQUIS for a period of three years. Together with AACSB accreditation, this confirms the high quality, internationalisation, and coherence of its integrated model.

The Faculty and Antwerp Management School coordinate their teaching and research strategy together through a Joint Strategy Board. The Joint Strategy Board is composed of the dean and vice dean of general policy, the dean and managing director of AMS, the faculty director, the accreditation managers of the Faculty and AMS-programs.

The Joint Strategy Board has advisory authority to the Education Committee, Executive Board and Faculty Council of the Faculty of Business and Economics and to the AMS Board of Trustees and AMS Academic Council, on the organization and design of post-initial education in the Business and Economics domain.
