Documents shared via OneDrive
When an employee of the University of Antwerp shares a folder or a file with you via OneDrive, you will receive an e-mail message about this. To open the content you were sent, click on the blue Open button.
On the web page that is then opened, enter the e-mail address on which you received the e-mail. Then click Continue and a verification code will be sent to this e-mail address.
This verification code then copies and pastes in the Enter code field, then click on Verify. After this, the folder or file that our employee has shared with you will open in the browser.

Passwords
Set a new password
You can have a password reset message sent to a personal email address or mobile phone number.
Procedure
- 鈥婫o to the .
- Enter your username, followed by 鈥淍ad.ua.ac.be鈥. Also enter the requested security code.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to have a verification code sent to the personal email address or mobile phone number that you have previously provided to the university.
- Enter the verification code.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to set a new password.
No email address or mobile phone number provided?
This is of course only possible if you have provided a personal email address or mobile phone number beforehand.

Password requirements
It is important that your new password meets the password requirements of the University of Antwerp. The following minimum requirements apply:
- The password consist of minimum 15 and maximum 30 characters.
- The different characters have to possess three of the four following properties:
- Uppercase letters: A 鈥 Z
- Lower case letters: a 鈥 z
- Numbers: 0 鈥 9
- Special characters such as: # $ ! +
- The password must not contain any part of your full name (2 consecutive characters).
- The password must not match or resemble any of the previous 10 passwords used.
- Attention, do not use these characters in passwords:
- accents, trema: 麓 ` 篓
- all letters with trema and umlaut: 毛 枚 茂 ...
- all letters with accents aigu, grave, circonflexe: 茅 铆 .../ 脿 猫 霉 .../ 芒 么 ...
- other, special characters: 碌 拢 鈧 搂 莽 掳 虏 鲁 ( )

Leaving the organization as an external user
If you are a non-抖阴短视频 employee or student who has gained access to our Microsoft 365 environment (e.g., via Microsoft Teams) and wish to leave our organisation, you can do so using the steps explained in .

Extending account use
Upon leaving the organisation
When a staff member leaves the organisation, the account (including the 抖阴短视频-mail address) will be closed according to the following criteria:
- Staff members whose contract is ending will only retain access to their mailbox for up to 1 month after they leave employment. All other accesses (access to shared disks, Pintra, BlackBoard, etc) will be closed immediately.
- In the event of dismissal for cause, the account will be closed immediately
- Retiring staff will keep access to their mailbox for 1 month after they retire. All other accesses are closed immediately.
- Emeriti with (occasional) assignment can have their account renewed by registering with the Department of Personnel & Organisation through their faculty.
- Emeriti without an assignment can have their account renewed by registering through their faculty as well, but in the Third Party Management System.
A former staff member can of course ask for his/her account to be closed more quickly. This can best be requested through the ICT helpdesk.
If there is a need to keep an account open longer, you should contact the secretariat of the department or faculty to which you belonged. If they deem it necessary, they can then register you via the third-party administration (detailed information can be found in the third-party administration).
Renewal of a shared or role-based account
To renew a shared or role-based account, it is sufficient for the person responsible for this mailbox to send an e-mail message to sysua@uantwerpen.be to request this annual renewal. Shared accounts are renewed for a maximum of one year each time.
Renewal of a third-party account
A third-party account is renewed through third-party management. Contact your secretariat or the person responsible for third-party management in your entity.
